Hippy Hemp is seeking a friendly, motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. Our shop is unique having customer exposure from the local cruise ship and tourist industry. You will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their product needs. Your primary responsibilities will be engaging in a fast-paced environment with customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Ideal candidates are organized, communicative, and possess strong sales skills to help drive store success. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
• Engage in upselling and suggest complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
• Operate POS systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and processing payments
• Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts
• Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
• Support inventory management and restocking efforts as needed

Requirements

• Candidate must be a NON-STUDENT, required for morning, afternoon, weekends
• Key holder required, must be punctual for some 7:30 am shifts
• Previous retail sales experience referred, especially in technology or product demos
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering, and basic math for transactions
• Processing agent for local bus and parcel transactions
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for merchandising and stock management
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
• Customer service-oriented mindset with friendly phone etiquette
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products and enhance customer experience
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
• Multilingual skills or experience in technical sales are advantageous but not required
