Description
Position Summary
We are
seeking a Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable,
hardworking, and enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen. Previous kitchen
experience is an asset, along with a valid Food Handler's Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and basic
cooking tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare
ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and
organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen
equipment
- Assist with preparing baked goods,
frozen meal production, catering orders, and menu items as required
- Receive, organize, and store
deliveries following food safety standards
- Monitor and rotate inventory using
proper food storage practices
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and
workplace health and safety procedures
- Support the kitchen team to ensure
efficient daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a
commercial kitchen is an asset
- Valid Food Handler's Certificate (or
willingness to complete course)
- Knowledge of safe food handling and
sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a
fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication
skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work
independently when needed
- Ability to stand for extended
periods
